Fascism is Sexy

April 21, 2008

Don’t you think? It has acquired a real chic, deep intellectual appeal and glamour in the early 21st century…

But Sexy?

Well, at least these photos are, of young Croatian, female fascists. Notice the Ustase tattoo in the later on the girls inviting hip.

Women and Fascism is an interesting topic I have been exploring recently. Previously understood as mostly a male dominated movement, transcendental tendencies of the Great Mother and the Jungian Female Archetype have long been part of Fascist body politic. I’ll post about some of these ideas later, here on Idea Fix, where Fascism is discussed openly, playfully, honestly and forthrightly!… the same way the Left has long had the right and the privilege to openly discuss its ideas and ideology and the many grand and differing traditions that have feed off Marxism, Communism and Socialism.

But really we all know Fascism is all about Sex, don’t we, by now? Or do we?

Congratulations to Croatian restaurant Katarina Zrinski for heeding Idea Fix’s call for more Fascist leader portraits to be hung in Melbourne restaurants. See here. They have started what is surely to be a hip new dining trend, by hanging a portrait of Croatian Poglavenik ( Leader) Ante Pavelic! While blood thirsty butchers of the left like Mao and Stalin are ubiquitous and hanging everywhere across Melbourne restaurants, the fascist leader poster issue is still a “hot tomali” of cultural Political Correctness.

In the on going reformation of Fascist political theory, this most noble of ideas must be viewed historically as a bull wark against the dread leveling of Communism and Socialism. Most Fascist leaders must be viewed, at least in part, as commendable, as they stood up for their individual Nations in the fight against Communism – the true Terror of the 20th century.

Pavelic is no angel and has the usual scoreboard of offences against various minorities, but he founded the modern State of Croatia and is clearly a Croatian National hero. Hence his poster boy image at Croatian clubs and restaurant. And Compared to Mao he is a virtual Saint!

The local Jewish community are complaining about the Croatian restaurant. But until they ask for portraits of Mao and Stalin to be removed from Restaurants… how can the community have a problem with minor human rights offenders, by comparison, like Pavelic. Do the Jewish community only complain because their own ethnic identity and Nationalism is contested by their ancestors treatment at the hands of certain misguided Fascist regime’s of yore? The Jewish community proudly has its own National State of Israel now, that, it could be argued, is more Nationalistic than Croatia even. We applaud the State of Israel here at Idea Fix and welcome all Jewish people and thinkers into the new Transcendental Fascist Internationale. You are our friends, we love and respect your people, religion, culture and the great Nation of Israel. Yes, mighty Israel fought for with heroic Jewish old fighters in a swelter of blood and iron. Any future fascist’s should say ‘sorry’ for the past excesses of over zealous and misguided leaders of history, but naturally acknowledge this is hardly enough to make up for past errors. The Tribes of Israel are clearly part of the Indo-European geo-political block. In a sense we are all Jews now. But I feel the vocal Jewish Community cannot complain when heroes of the Nationalist movements are made objects of pop culture or National pride, apropos like many in the Left. Fascism, or a new variant there of, is an exciting subject for cultural renewal. While we must acknowledge its past errors and mistakes (no greater than many Left Errors of the USSR?) and look forward to a bright future, with Zion as our staunch ally. We completely support the right of Jewish restaurants to put up portraits of even their own most right wing leaders like Sharon and others, but you cannot dictate the sources of other’s Nationalistic origin or Pride. To do so is hypocritical, retrograde and unproductive.

Plus its only a poster people, lighten up…

Do not back down Melbourne Croatian club, fight the good fight and do not allow anyone to dictate your sources of National pride, all the while acknowledging your proud position in the great Australian experiment.

Here is an Age good food guide review of the restaurant here.

Here is an article on the controversy here.

And here is some info on Ante Pavelic and his anti communist Ustase here.

Katarina Zrinski… you just picked up a new customer! I highly recommend Idea Fix readers to do the same… for the simple act of defiance against the dangerous Left wing hero worship of the likes of Mao. Dine happy under the Poglavenik’s ever watchful eye. Dobar Tek!

Oswald Mosley’s son, Max holds a London Nazi bondage party and gets into all kinds of scheisse. Where was my invite? Only joking, it looks like a pretty dull scene, see above.

This story is rather amusing and I’ve been meaning to write a post on it for a few days.

Here is story details:

“On 30 March 2008 the News of the World, a British tabloid newspaper, reported that Mosley had engaged in sexual acts with five prostitutes in a scenario that involved Nazi role-playing. The TimesSir Stirling Moss stated that despite his wish for Mosley to stay, he believed his position to be untenable. ITV commentator and reported a call for his resignation from the director of the Holocaust Centre. Sunday Times columnist Martin Brundle, who was recently the subject of a libel action brought by Mosley, said, “It’s not appropriate behaviour for the head of any global body such as the FIA.” Mosley received the support of Bernie Ecclestone who said, “Assuming it’s all true, what people do privately is up to them. I don’t honestly believe [it] affects the sport in any way. Knowing Max it might be all a bit of a joke. You know, it’s one of those things where he’s sort of taking the piss, rather than anything against Jewish people.” On 31 March, Ecclestone continued to argue that Mosley should not resign, but said it would be inappropriate for him to attend the next F1 event, the 2008 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Mosley responded to the allegations on the 1 April in a letter sent to all presidents of the national FIA clubs, all members of the FIA Senate and the World Motor Sport Council. In the letter he apologises for “the embarrassment the revelations caused” and claims that the allegations are part of a “covert” operation to discredit him. He describes the claims that he took part in Nazi role-playing as “entirely false”, and condemns what he calls the tabloid’s “unwarranted invasion” of his privacy. Mosley has said that he is pursuing legal action against the News of the World and has succeeded in having a related video removed from the paper’s website.

On 3 April Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince of Bahrain, wrote to Mosley informing him that it would be inappropriate for the FIA president to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix. The same day BMW and Mercedes-Benz released a joint statement asking for a response from the FIA, the statement commented that “The content of the publications is disgraceful. As a company, we strongly distance ourselves from it”. Mosley responded to BMW and Mercedes by highlighting their involvement in the Second World War, adding “I fully understand why they would wish to strongly distance themselves from what they rightly describe as the disgraceful content of these publications”. He also questioned why neither BMW nor Mercedes had contacted him to ascertain if the allegations were true Honda asked the FIA to reach an “immediate decision in the best interests of F1 and Motorsport” Toyota was also critical of any “behaviour which could be seen to damage Formula One’s image”.

Mosley has announced an extraordinary general assembly of the FIA to discuss the allegations surrounding his private life, to take place “on the earliest practicable date.” Some FIA member car clubs have expressed their opinions; Germany’s ADAC asked Mosley to “reconsider” his position, Israel‘s MEMSI said it was “shocked” about the allegations, KNAF of the Netherlands announced its intention to vote for Mosley’s resignation and The American Automobile Association said it “would be in the best interest of all concerned if he were to step down.” A different opinion comes from the Brazilian motorsport federation, Confederacao Brasileira De Automobilismo (CBA). Its President, Paulo Eneas Scaglione, has said that FIA President Max Mosley has a right to privacy in his private life and should go on and complete his mandate, if he chooses to do so.” – wikipedia

I have included scenes from the tape itself above. Very plain and boring S&M party with ugly Dom’s and a creepy old dude (Mosley, jnr) acting out a stale S&M scenario. Our weekly parties at Hellfire in the 90’s with everyone in their twenties and beautiful make this party look like a joke! If this is how the elite parties, they need some lessons. Eyes Wide Shut, is how I imagined the Nazi sex orgy to be, not some crap British tenement and pedestrian flogging antics..

Its funny really, fascism has always had a strong connection to S&M. I openly admit that is one of the reasons fascism interests me, the Transcendental variety, of course. Its a political expression of Sadomasochism in many ways – dominance, submission, power play, control, chaos, etc. I find admitting this dimension of fascism only strengthens its truth. Most fascists are perverts, like a lot of interesting people generally are…

I wonder what his father British Union of Fascist leader Oswald Mosley would have thought? He had a much better run at it. His parties looked like more fun. See picture below.

Our Tibet

April 8, 2008

Trouble on the roof of World. We have seen riots in Tibet, crack downs by the Chinese authorities, media outrage, censorship from China plus the Chinese Government’s own position on the struggle. This all comes conveniently during China’s Olympic Year. Designed, I imagine to make Western democracies Olympic teams reconsider their travel plans this August.

So what are we dealing with?

First you have China. A Communist country slowly going Capitalist with a vast swarming population and a human rights record that would make Genghis Khan blush. China makes claims on Tibet that go back to the Ming dynasty and beyond.

Then you have the idea of a free Tibet ruled spiritually by non violence recommending religious leader, the Dalai Lama in exile. Many Tibetans claim China is an invading brutal Colonial force and want a Free Tibet under the Lama’s rule. China claims the Lama is backed by the CIA and MI5 to put a wedge in the Western part of China’s land.

What is needed here, as I have said what is needed in the Middle East, is a real U.N… with Teeth. An International peace keeping force that wields real power and will chill out both sides and bring a level of Western decency and civilisation back into this ugly situation.

I consider Tibet a Western asset, so I back the Dalai Lama. The Indo European’s from which most Europeans are descended are supposed to have appeared in this region of the world thousands of years ago. The writings of George Dumezil, Mircea Eliade and many others document this immigration of the Ancient tribes. Moving through India, the Middle East and then into Europa and Scandanavia. The Indo-European’s are the true owners of Tibet. The rule of the Dalai Lama will not be perfect, but as the West backs him, he will be our puppet in the region and his rule is vastly preferable to Chinese barbarism.

I support the Boycott of the Olympics and applaud all who have tried to dim the flame from these Eastern fools. The flame parade is now in doubt in many countries, it looks like, including Oz. China should not be welcome as hosts of the Olympics with their retrogarde antics, death penalty frenzy and the brutal oppression in Tibet and of Falun Gong. The rumblings about Taiwan are also disturbing. Move the Olympics to another civilised venue, like the last venue Greece or even Sydney, again?!

Fuck China. Fuck the Chinese people, too! Simply, for allowing their Government to behave in such a brutish way. After over 60 years of Communist crimes and atrocities, we must blame the Chinese people for their Government. The Germans copped enough shit for their 12 year Nazi regime. But no one points out the slavish, peasant minded Chinese people and their slobbering and groveling to this suckling pig of an abusive Government. I love China and its customs but it is about time the Government of China and its people woke up and see what century they are living in.

Tibet is ours.

Bashing Up Zizek

March 27, 2008

Coming home from Mathew Clayfield’s place drunk the other night (after showing him the latest cut of The Beautiful and Damned), I posted my first Internet blog suggesting someone should be assassinated. I was feeling a little belligerent at the time. I can’t stand that Bashir turkey so he got the brunt of my drunken blogging wrath. I like to keep Idea Fix raw, so I won’t withdraw the comment either, though it could be a little rash.

It’s a good introduction to this post. A review of Slavoj Zizek’s new book “Violence”. I’m no Lacanian Marxist-Stalinist but I do like Zizek. He comes from Slovenia and has connections to the proto-fascist group Laibach, that toy with Left and mostly Right modernist imagery and produce some truly excellent electronic music. Zizek in recent years has taken over the mantel of Jacques Derrida, as philosopher / theorist celebre and media darling. Zizek made an excellent series on film called The Perverts Guide To Cinema and there is a self-titled doco about the man that is also very good. I have read about ten of his books, including those on Iraq and Sept 11.

So this brings us to Zizek’s new book “Violence”. Violence, as I’m sure you’re aware if you know me, is a personal issue of major interest cinematically but also politically with its use, abuse and application in real life. To Zizek’s credit he gets straight to the heart of the matter.

Many post modern philosophers tend to stray away from issues like Violence preferring to make odd foot notes or harp on about the importance of the Other or some equally fatuous bullshit.

But others in art, film and literature have been trying to think the reality of Violence. I think I’m one of the few people in Melbourne to have a copy of William T Vollman’s seven volume massive tome on Violence, “Rising Up and Rising Down” and have even managed reading some of it. So it’s a great to see Zizek rolling up his sleeves in this arena for a bit of critical theory bifo.

Zizek is a funny philosopher. He’s half post-modernist do nothing, wait, read and produce endless piles of useless text philosopher and half revolutionary Neo Stalinist. I like the Neo Stalinist part better as it beckons action. I’m tired of the do nothing endless task of post modernism, it’s basically a (post) modern form of sophistry mostly and a pointless exercise in circular futility. Zizek at least through Lacan, Hegel and other readings tries to reactivate the revolutionary Left and good on him for it. He calls himself a Left Fascist. And I’m probably not that far from that position myself. Though I prefer Mussolini, Franco and Hitler as revolutionary models to Stalin. Of course all are flawed and dangerous ‘heroes’ and Zizek does his best to rehabilitate Stalin, even with some success. But you should just read Solzhenitsyn and/or Martin Amis’s Koba The Dread to get a wake up call about Uncle Joe. But what Zizek is trying to do for the Left, my ambitions are to do something similar for the Right, but I digress.

In his new book Zizek makes many fascinating points and diversions of his own but overall is only partially successful for his vision of a critique of Violence. Terrorist Violence, Zizek says, that we see all around the world in Israel, Spain, Africa, the UK, South and North America is only to reaction to the underlying hidden Violence inherent in Western Global Capitalism and Globalisation. This hidden state violence is the main problem that disenfranchises millions and excludes a huge proportion of the planet’s population from a meaningful existence. Zizek cleverly goes on to attack what he calls Liberal Communists like Bill Gates …and I would add Oprah Winfrey to that list. Those who give away large parts of their fortunes or promote charitable activities (Bono, Geldof, etc) all the while sitting at the top of the Capitalist tree, completely safe and benefiting Public Relations wise from their philanthropy and ‘generosity’, seeming Christ like in their endless giving and good nature. Zizek suggests with a Brecht quote, shooting these Liberal Communists in some future Neo Stalinist purge. This is a fun revolutionary fantasy, but highly unlikely, though his hostility to their smug privileged attitudes is understandable. The notion of admitting the Hidden Violence of Capitalism is a very important point. As we all know Capitalism is blind and only follows the mighty $ and leaves in its wake endless cultural emptiness and spiritual oblivion.

Zizek uses Heidegger to underpin the notion of the Violence inherent in Language, which is indeed true and has its own disenfranchising ramifications.

But (and it’s a big But)…to me Zizek hints at wanting to liberate the wretched billions who Capitalism quashes in a new form of Neo Stalinist dictatorship of the Proletariat. This is a vast recipe for disaster. First of all, if Global Capitalism is legitimately threatened as we have seen already in the past and as is happening now in the US, those under threat opt for my camp (in the Right/ Fascist wing of the body politique) and quickly back away from any Leftist notions of Universal liberty and freedom for all. If he thinks putting Bill Gates up against the wall is a good idea, I dare say Bill Gates and many others would quickly finance the counter-revolution to crush any such notion. Global capital and the privileged world of its top echelon will not allow anyone to penetrate their carefully guarded Tower fortresses. Zizek himself might find himself hauled off, ala rendition, to an undisclosed location for some water boarding and his own ‘good’ bullet if he actually could inspire what he hints at..

More to the point (and this is something I can never understand from the Left) what is the use of liberating the Proletariat? And for what? Dialectical materialism? Money? Wages? Please… this is so 19th century, stupid and narrow minded. We in the West are so far beyond mere subsistence living that this notion is antiquated. The prole is the lowest common dominator, the great unwashed, the uneducated, the uncivilised, etc. Why are these the people the Left want to rise up and liberate? It turns out conversely as we saw with the USSR into a gigantic levelling of Dasein, so that we are all made equally wretched. Rather than raising it, it brings everybody down. It is the purest recipe for misanthropy in practice and disaster I have seen formulated. It always amazes what most Uni students who flirt with the Left are recommending. For example, just liberate every Chinese and Indian peasant and give them a Western Standard of living with a car and the Ozone would disappear in ten years or less. Just as another ice shelf shears off Antartica. Communist liberationist stupidity has vast implications for Global Warming, overpopulation and plans for the future of humanity as a species. If your Green these days, you have to start thinking, at least a bit, like a Fascist.

A full 70 years of Lenin/Stalinism and what did it give us…pointless oppression, constant fear of purges, gulags and dread levelling on a vast scale. No wonder Ezra Pound gave the Fascist salute after his imprisonment, it wasn’t meant for people alive in the 60’s to see… it was meant for us. Capitalism creates class through its hidden Violence, we grant this. Capitalist vision only raises up the most ruthless, vicious, blinkered, ugly and corrupt to the top of shit heap, that too we grant. This does need a remedy and we are down with this part of Zizek’s plans. But only a renewed and fully understood Transcendental Fascist vision of a truly class free society, with its ideas of one People, one class, one struggle, etc. That one People is not the German Volk or some Eurocentric Hitlerian silliness, it is a now the World Volk, in all its diversity and Otherness. It is the 21st century human Dasein itself that speaks and wants to be heard. Fascism acknowledges the basic truth that people are not equal. Zizek talks about Simone De Beauvoir on the notion of inequality saying that regardless of how we want people to be equal, they are not in reality, due to a number of factors, many beyond the subject’s control. Fascism generally envisions and acknowledges Spencer’s Social Darwinism, that the best will fight their way to the top through the tenacity of the individual will. But also acknowledges the need for a political force to liberate the best in humanity, a real meritocracy that aims to give power to youth and the most dynamic and vital elements of a society. It also leaves room for the individual subject… this notion is often squashed under most communist dreams. You can’t free everybody on Earth, you just cant, you can liberate many and Capitalism does do this randomly through the free market, but only a new non-racist Fascist Internationale would ensure new elites form correctly. That the cream and integrity of all cultures and civilisations rises to the top is the aim.

Those vital elements from any culture, race, creed or sexuality that are awake and enabled… take hold of your manifest destiny! This is what Zizek misses. He claims Fascism is a kind of Super Capitalism that really leaves everything the same. That’s an old line of the Left and fails to understand true revolutionary Fascism, its vitality and dynamism to make real change. Regardless of Hitler’s policies, to say he worked solely for big Capital is a foolish statement. Hitler was inventing an entirely new world based around myth, a new vision of culture where art, society and people were one, a dislike of money and capital as the basis for society and a (somewhat) deluded form of Eugenics. If you loose the Eugenics stuff, you have a dynamic political framework still intact. Fascism’s gaols were not to serve Big Capital and high finance, though its mobilisation and continued success was happily employed and incorporated into the Fascist system. Fascism attempts to rise up the best to positions of natural rule, rank and position… just like Nietzsche’s mature philosophy recommends and in accord with what Heraclitus called the Ordering of Beings. Fascism is like Nature itself, cruel sometimes, but the way Being ‘is’.

Fascism is the political expression of Being itself.

Its the way of what Zizek calls the Real, without all the Freudian/Lacanian trickery and language nonsense Zizek gets bogged down in with his mirror reflection narcissism…

I’ll grant Zizek’s notion that much modern oppression is due to Western Capitalism, but so what? It’s the old Left idea of the “Violence inherent in the system” mocked by Monty Python. There are other ways forward. New paths to beat bravely, new seas to set sail on. As soon as the younger generation wakes up and sees the Right and Fascism for what is, its archetype and Universal beauty (beyond the Hollywood bogeyman Nazi claptrap) , its metaphysical truth… the path to true political liberation, planetary responsibility and salvation will be clear. The sooner we can began on this path the better…

As Zizek says Violence is all about the hidden Power inherent in the Western system. He is right. Just his hinted solution is incorrect. Don’t get me wrong the Left have many good ideas and Zizek makes many good points and suggestions for change that I agree with, too numerous to go into here. Suffice to say some reasoned Liberation of the working class is essential, as often many vital individuals are unable to liberate themselves from its grip. I guess that’s why I consider myself a Left Fascist. As long as this liberation is sustainable, doesn’t overwhelm others and is not damaging to the planet, I’m all for it. The youth of tomorrow need to grab this Western hegemonic power of fake Western Democracy and reduce and alter its hidden Violent and destructive power to liberate as many peoples in all countries, from all classes, even using ‘Liberal Communists’ to do so, in a new bright array of the elite’s and ranks of tomorrow. We must not be afraid of wielding this Power and replacing democracy with something finer and purer. Some may still be oppressed and crushed by the power we wield? That is the nature of power and our current situation. We aren’t living in some fairyland utopian world. If the option is between an exciting and dynamic new non-racist Fascist Internationale array of elites or a return to the USSR dark ages and planetary destruction from environmental over crowding through the liberation of the world wide Proletariat and wretched of the Earth. I clearly choose the former. As would any half intelligent citizen of the West, who lets face it will bring about any (counter) revolution politically in the first place.

I also take umbrage against Zizek’s call for inaction, his clubfoot still in the post-modernist camp. That is a remnant of the Derridean cancer that continues to poison most half rate post-modernist thinkers. Inaction, the trace, the spectre, the undecidability of truth, nothing beyond the text… literary eccentricity at best or sophistry or bullshit at worst. Slap a deconstructionist across the face and say to them, “Deconstruct that, Bitch”. You get my point. Action is the only real language. Until action takes place the text is just that, scribbling on a piece of paper… while Rome burns mind you. And its way past fire extinguisher time people, endless scribbling will not do… time is running out for that. It’s now clear what direction we need to move in, lets just figure out the Right ideas, ideology, leaders, strategy and then…to borrow perversely a message from Capital… not Marx but Nike, “Just do it”.

drug.jpg

In its usual vast stupidity, the Victorian Government has spent 600,000 of tax payer gelt on a campaign that says “Ice – Its a Dirty Drug”. As Kristen Condon, my erstwhile female consort pointed out to me, the copy is a play on “Its a Dirty Job, but someone’s got to do it”. So, like my posts on Idea Fix about creepy ads, the message of the billboard is subconsciously this – go out and take ice. Its a dirty job, but someone has to do it. How’s that for stupid? What ad genius thought that one up for a giggle?

Also, when is describing anything as dirty… a bad thing? I picked up this really dirty magazine. I saw this really dirty movie. I just had really dirty sex. That all sounds pretty cool to me?

The double message this ad sends out is Machiavellian. Ice, from what I have heard, is not a good drug. I have never tried it and most likely never will. From what I hear people seem to age fast on it, go a bit psycho and also get very bad skin. Some clubber friends from the good ol’ Hellfire days have tried it and the reviews aren’t all bad, some say its cool in small doses, but to be careful as its very addictive. It just sounds like some kind of uber Speed to me, which sounds gross. Ice might be good for Rufus Wainwright getting a cock up his ass or that guy from Grinspoon bemoaning his addiction to get extra press, but like Heroin, we at Idea Fix recommend giving Ice a wide birth. Its not a dirty drug, its just a stupid, destructive one.

But hey like Crowley said “Do what though wilt, shall be the whole of the law”. Drugs should all be legal and sold at the fucking Chemist with a doctor’s prescription. Drug use is a victimless crime of personal choice. Why we don’t legalise and tax it is beyond me? Apart from all the massive black market corruption, that exists and that finds its way into well documented corrupt law enforcement and I wager to the less well documented Capitalist politician’s greedy paws, drug prohibition is pointless. From ending this absurd drug war any Government will make a mountain of green from the tax revenue and also be able to put Police resources where their needed most, protecting civilians from the Barbarians that are inside our gates. Fresh rivers of money will flow to rebuild, redesign and truly reshape society. It works well partially in Amsterdam and that country has not slid of the face of Western Civilisation. Go the whole hog, end drug Prohibition.

A standing dictum and economic strategy of Transcendental Fascism is the legalisation of all drugs – full stop. Of course, drug counseling and state run rehab will be increased and initiatives introduced providing addicts with a life worth living beyond addiction in huge social programs that would be de riguer of a Transcendental Fascist future. Let’s end this second prohibition and the absurd and utterly ineffectual war on drugs. Let’s remove the crime element and pour the vast funds from the legal sale of drugs through Chemists (or new legal Drug Boutiques?) into vital, vigorous and Being orientated cultural and social programs. These initiatives will give people a real reason to stay off drugs. i.e a socially rewarding and culturally authentic life.

A second Greece awaits us! Athens reborn! We have the technology and (if only) the will… to free large portions of the population of the Planet from the Protestant need to work. We can once again spend lives purely in pursuit of art, culture and philosophy. Democracy and Communism are tied down in materialistic emptiness and dread levelling. Only a daring new free and open political force can free us from History as its been played out as metaphysics. We can end all class struggle in some societies, in a unified utopian vision. This vision is perfect for select countries like Australia, Sweden, Holland, Pacific Islands and many countries elsewhere in Asia, Africa, the America’s and Europe. This freedom will not be for everyone world wide, though, that is the Transcendental Fascist price of freedom. No absurd equality for all humanity. An impossible and planet destroying dream if ever there was one? Only the best, most vital and noble societies shall prosper in the upper heights of the new Releasement. We can live beyond the usury and dialectical materialism of this foolish economically driven world. True freedom awaits. Economics and materialism is nothing but a means to an end. A means to a way out of the forgetfulness of Being. It is ontologically possible, if we mobilise in the correct manner. Like Rocket Scientist and occultist Jack Parson’s once said, “Freedom is a double edge sword”. Transcendental Fascism or some variation on its theme, as I’m want to tell many, is the only way forward…

But I digress, these prescriptive ads from the Government, I believe, only serve to promote the allure of Ice to teenagers happy with booze or pot. Its dirty, hey, Corey, let’s try that when Mum and Dad are away this weekend at your party…

Poor fools.

hitler-bar-image1.jpg

After my post about Mao’s portraits in Restaurants (See below), I received an email from a pal pointing out the phenomenon of Hitler themed restaurants in India, Korea and other parts of Asia. It seems Hitler provides a hip vibe there for wining and dining.

Considering the issues raised by the Archibald Hitler painting controversy, I have assembled an amusing selection of images for Idea Fix. The prize for funniest has to go to Hilters’ Cross – for the by line “From small bites to Mega”. Perhaps Uber, might have been a better turn of phrase?

Hitler has been a large figure in post World 2 pop culture in film, TV, comics, etc. To see how big, here is a wiki link to a lot of the stuff that is around.

Sorry Australia

February 13, 2008

Kevin Rudd apologised today to the Aborigines of Australia, I thought he didn’t go far enough. He should have apologised on behalf of the British Crown for invading this country in the first place and taking it from the Aborigines by force and guile. He should have apologised for one of the world’s only completely successful genocide’s of Tasmanian aborigines.

He could have then apologised for building cities and penal colonies and establishing western culture here in the South perhaps. Why not apologise also for the poetry of Henry Lawson or Banjo Paterson that came from this? Or Waltzing Matilda, the Eureka Stockade or Ned Kelly? He could have probably apologised for the British Empire itself. He could have also by default apologised for the middle ages and the Roman Empire for founding Britain and instilling it with its character, virtues, vices and culture. Hell, why not apologise for the entire course of Western History? Or the invention of Science and its theories of Evolution and Progress or for Western Culture itself?

Why not? For it will mean as much as his apology today. Nothing. Tokenistic bullshit to make idiots grin.

As a Transcendental Fascist, I would act more decisively and actually give the Aborigines back part of their land. Say the Northern Territory? To be ruled as a Sovereign Aboriginal State. Until the Aboriginals have at least part of their own country returned to them as a Sovereign entity under their own rule, this is just window dressing. The maintenance of an originary population’s relationship with its land is an important facet of Transcendental Fascism. While Australia, America and other colonial countries can’t turn back the pages of History and should not, they can in the present restore at least partly some of the original Volk’s relationship with its Soil. The same can be said in many other similar colonial situations that cause discord around the globe.

But I’m afraid these few words are all our Aboriginal comrades are going to get. A Flowery speech of less than two minutes in Parliament and then back to business as usual.

Sorry for fucking up your entire world. Here’s some words, a little cash for some who deserve it and some more for people who pay lip service to our bullshit, forget about what you had. Forget about your primary relationship with the Being of this land. We are the good Cop, to Howard’s bad cop. We are Sorry. Western History has run over you, we are so deeply Sorry about it, but lets face facts, it has. It has consumed you, as it has so many cultures, hey, as it is consuming them now! Really… we truly are very, very sorry about it all. Now go away,we have a mining deal to organise…

Coppola’s first film in ten years is an adaptation of the famous novel Youth Without Youth by Mircea Eliade.

Eliade is a famous historian of religion and scholar post ww2 but he was a keen fascist in the 30’s and early 40’s coming up with the Romanian Iron Guard’s slogan Long Live Death. Eliade pamphleted favorably for Legionare’s Corneliu Codreanu and many other Iron Guard leaders and was imprisoned for it. He later was Romanian Embassador to England then Portugal and wrote in favor of Portugese fascist Salazar, meeting the leader in cordial circumstances. Post war he went to France to hang with the ex fascist Romanian set that included such greats as EM Cioran and Georges Dumezil.

See here for more:

Coppola is a deep cinematic thinker, in his best work, tackling transcendental right wing ideas in both The Godfather Trilogy and Apocalypse Now. What he makes of The Eliade novel, I for one will be very interested to find out. It looks like a long overdue return to form for the master.
