Here is an example of what best sums the up the contemporary ethos of Science, we now have the onion that doesn’t make you cry.

How long will it be until scientists invent the life that doesn’t make you cry? We could all exist in little perfectly balanced stasis utopia’s - not too happy, not too sad.
It’s enough to make you cry…
Genetically altering onions to be tearless sounds like something from Brave New World!…Oh…
